Scrum Conference 2015

.

TIME TO TALK ABOUT HOW WE MAKE OUR PRODUCTS ROBUST AND AGILE

HCCI very recently hosted first of its kind event called Scrum Conference 2015 on August 20. After hearing from us about the products we create, across the broader realms of technology, it was now time to tell how we do it. Scrum Conference aimed to bring together the best practices shared by various units, focusing on learning and growth. For easy participation of employees, this half a day event was made available to all the employees in conference rooms, through live streaming of sessions and WebEx. Topics were carefully chosen and sent for nomination by each units, which were later scrutinized before making it to the final round.

Topics nominated were for two tracks of discussion, one was for Product Development practices and the other was on Agile Coach/Leadership. The scrum topics talking about the process, the science behind it, improvement of efficiency and quality for business etc, had a long term takeaway from the presentations and discussions. ‘Science Behind Scrum’ won the best presentation from Agile coach/ Leadership and ‘Pair Programming- Myth Busters’ won from Product Development track. Andrew Veren, Technical Director, Public Safety visiting us from Huntsville was thrilled to be part of this conference. He shared his thoughts about how conference such as these can help improve motivation levels and subsequently performance of the teams through such enriched interaction.
